Grass for cats?

This is sold in pet shops, usually for the indoor cat to eat. Grass is a natural emetic, this means that by eating grass the cat induces vomiting. Vomiting is used as a means to eliminate hairballs or excess food.

If your cat is fed correctly, there should be no need for this grass. A good quality diet will avoid overgrooming and therefore the swallowing of fur. The food should be highly digestible so the feeding amounts are minimal, this should avoid any digestive problems, which would usually result in vomiting.
